The definition on that drawing is not too sharp

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 32 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Just click the pen off for her.

[–] 0x0@lemmy.zip 33 points 1 month ago (1 children)

...and be charged with harassment.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Not in any real world. Bringing that to a lawyer or a policing agency would get you laughed out of the room

Edit: but yeah, probably just tell her, don't randomly touch peoples hair, lol

[–] unemployedclaquer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 month ago

You are not allowed to have an ink pen or a mechanical pencil

[–] homes@piefed.world 8 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

not a clicky pen

but don't let that stop you from trying!

edit: clearly I was wrong. see a comment further down for my explanation

that really looks like a black cap at the top.

maybe I'm wrong, and I'm definitely not gonna get into an online argument over this.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (3 children)

It really looks like a clicker, and my entire day is now dedicated to getting into an argument about this.

[–] homes@piefed.world 7 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

lol, maybe it is a clicky pen. the pic isn't clear enough to be absolutely sure, so I concede.

edit: in fact, just because the black/white transition appears to be more of a seam without a thickness steppage that you'd see with a cap, I believe it to be more likely a clicky pen than a capped pen. so you're probably correct.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

My favorite arguments are the ones my opponents win for me

But seriously, I didn't think so at first, but I can see that round nubbin is definitely a clicker even with such poor focus

[–] homes@piefed.world 4 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I honestly can't see it clearly enough to discern a mechanism amidst the hair, and, in total, it still looks much more like a capped pen to me, but as I said in my edit, because of the smooth physicality and lack of thickness steppage that you'd see with a capped pen, it must be a clicky pen.

and I wouldn't characterize this as an argument. just a friendly discussion ;)

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I disagree wholeheartedly, this is an argument! And a heated one, you dumbass!

You're really bad at this buddy

I think the reflection on the cap makes it look like a clicky pen

[–] over_clox@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I love how the lips are on the right side of her face..

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That's the arm of the person in front of her holding on to the bar the save way she is.

[–] over_clox@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I said right side, not left side..

But also, WTF is up with that jacked up hand on the left side, holding a metal pole that seems to neither be mounted horizontally nor vertically?

I still see AI slop, you just helped me see more of it...

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

That's the side I'm taking about. You can see the arm / elbow of the person on her left at the right side of her face. If you squint really hard (or are very drunk) it kind of resembles a mouth.

[–] over_clox@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Meh, maybe, I dunno. I'm on an 8 inch tablet screen running a layered desktop OS with two different methods of zooming, I have no idea if either are giving me the image in full quality.. 🤷‍♂️

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The hell is wrong with you. This is precisely the type of thing internet arguments we're designed for. Al Gore didn't die creating the internet for you to backdown on an opportunity to heatedly engage in passionate yet irrelevant discourse ending in demeaning explicit insults of some stranger.

[–] homes@piefed.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Could it actually be an AI pen?

To me it looks like it fades into the hair instead of going through it. And then there's the hand holding onto the roof rail a little further forward.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Then when she (hairpen) turns around, you gently push a stray lock of hair behind her ear.

I don't know, she looks pretty sketchy to me

[–] DudeImMacGyver@kbin.earth 7 points 1 month ago

It's just analog head tracking, no worries.

[–] calamitycastle@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Plot twist it's a shitty tattoo and the pen is just there to justify it

[–] spankinspinach@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

I kind of love the idea of part of her aesthetic being the pen hairtie

[–] voodooattack@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Don’t worry guys. I don’t think it’s penful.

[–] Caesium@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

THIS IS WHY STICK PENS NEED TO BE SOLD MORE OFTEN

sorry I'm a huge pen nerd and I LOVE stick pens but you'll be lucky to find a single one in a whole stationary aisle I swear to god. and even if one is sold, who's to say it'll fit your needs because I think the only ones I've seen are usually felt tip and not everyone likes that kind of tip.

[–] kungen@feddit.nu 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

What exactly is a stick pen? An image search shows one of those pens with a removable cap?

I've tried those before, but the caps always end up disappearing on me, and it felt quite "cheap" quality (BIC Cristal for example)... but maybe there's some better brands?

[–] Caesium@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

yep! stick pens are just ones with a cap instead of the clicky retractable style.

yeah there are definitely some better brands out there. I really enjoy Pilot pens generally, but the favorite pen I've ever used is the Uniball AIR rollerball <3 I just wish they made it refillable because I'd rather not have to buy a whole new pen when I finish one :(

[–] anarchy79@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Are you in the pen 15 club?

[–] doingthestuff@lemy.lol 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You can tell me it's just the tip but if you don't put a lid on it you're fucked.

[–] M137@lemmy.today 2 points 1 month ago

This is pretty cool IMO. A study made from this where a large group of people had a pen like this and then you compare the patterns.
They'll definitely be different based on so many things like what kind of work you do, hobbies, obesity, "phone neck", how much of a social life you have, what kind of devices you use most.
Now I realise that there are too many variables, still would be cool to see differences in patterns from different individuals.

[–] anarchy79@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

This would be funny without the quotation marks.

[–] UnhingedFridge@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Wait... She may have unlocked lower-neck upper-back scratching tech without realizing it was leaving a mark.
