yep! stick pens are just ones with a cap instead of the clicky retractable style.
yeah there are definitely some better brands out there. I really enjoy Pilot pens generally, but the favorite pen I've ever used is the Uniball AIR rollerball <3 I just wish they made it refillable because I'd rather not have to buy a whole new pen when I finish one :(

sorry I'm a huge pen nerd and I LOVE stick pens but you'll be lucky to find a single one in a whole stationary aisle I swear to god. and even if one is sold, who's to say it'll fit your needs because I think the only ones I've seen are usually felt tip and not everyone likes that kind of tip.
I had a customer at the store I work at use GPT for info on what we sell. I'd rather he was referencing twitch chat when he told me chat told him we sold something.
