My heart bleeds for the poor landlords. they will actually have to fix shit like mold and vermin now, and can't put surprise charges towards rent! How are those shitstains supposed to get an effortless income now?

Gosh, and those poor megacorps that bought up units by the thousands. Won't someone think of the c-suite bonuses? If things keep up as they are, they might even have to sell those units back at reasonable prices. How sad...

That would be the ideal case. - making sure that the obligations that come with providing living space are always equivalent to the rent, while mandating to operate efficiently.

Which actually is simply a non-profit. Prohibit renting out apartments and houses if you aren't one.

(those bastards at blackstone would shit themselves when confronted with such legislation)

When politicians are not beholden to lobbyists, they are truly serving the people because they have no conflicts of interest.

Anf also need to be resistant to bribes and power abuse and extreme political pressures and etc etc.

The amount of AI photos in apartment and real estate listings is insane. Makes it look way better than it actually is.

I just don't see how agents aren't getting sued into oblivion using it.

That takes time and money
