And never work for any company ever, apparently.

If my place of business goes bankrupt, is Google going to get access to my employment records? The memes I share in work chats? My disciplinary record? My bank account details I used for direct deposit?

If someone puts that they worked at Spirit on a resume, what is the likelihood that job openings will start to query these things to see how far they can lowball someone on wages, or whether they're a "difficult" employee? This is shit that runs the risk of following someone for life.

So what happened 5 years ago?

They render the sets using Unreal Engine, so that's probably not far off the money.

Can't remember where I heard this, but I believe the terms themselves evolved around common infant mouth sounds. Hence why so many languages use the term "mama" for mother.

The baby makes random sounds, meaning is ascribed to them by the parents, the baby is given positive feedback and starts to make those sounds more frequently, and then the meaning eventually sticks for the child once they actually begin developing language.

"Please help! I'm trapped in a basement and there's a man with a gun!"

"Wow! I think it's great that you're looking to leave your comfort zone. There's a lot to see outside the basement, so it's good to broaden your horizons. There are a few options to solve your predicament that we can workshop together. First, are you stuck behind a door, or are you physically incapable of moving? In both cases, I think your best bet is to ask the man with the gun to lend a hand. If there is a door in the way, the man with the gun can shoot out the lock and open that door in no time. But if you aren't able to move, I'd say the man could help carry you out of that basement, too. While we wait for the man to assist, would you like some basement decorating ideas to make your current situation more pleasant?"

"No you don't understand, he is trying to kill me!"

"Wow, that is a lot to unpack! It seems like you believe this man means you harm, but you don't seem to have any logical basis for those feelings. Based on the circumstances, it sounds like you may be misinterpreting helpful vibes as scary due to flaws in your social perception, which could indicate an unhealthy pattern of self-destructive behavior. The first step to help always starts from within, but I can recommend some local therapists in your area who could better address the feelings you have in the long term."

That's what I'm choosing to believe. I know some people out there truly are that dumb, but it feels more likely that they'd just use a very loosely strung bow with no tension for the meme.

Gosh, and those poor megacorps that bought up units by the thousands. Won't someone think of the c-suite bonuses? If things keep up as they are, they might even have to sell those units back at reasonable prices. How sad...

No one, they'll just have the government bail them out. They'll call their collapse a national security risk, threaten to sell their share of US Tiktok back to Bytedance, claim that they won't be able to protect the sensitive medical data of millions of Americans, etc. Whatever it takes to convince Trump that they're too big to fail.

And it doesn't need to be anything crazy either. When I used to work from home at a previous job, I would just put on one of the company jackets I was issued. Mostly out of convenience for "cameras on" meetings, but it meant I could just wear whatever I wanted underneath. End of day, I take it off, no need to change into any other clothes or do extra laundry.

And this is basically how former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe was assassinated
