AD(H)D has shortcomings, regardless of how you feel about it. That does not devalue the person, but it comes with a very specific set of challenges that are undeniable. Sugarcoating doesn't help it: AD(H)D sucks for the people suffering from it.

I only mentioned the r-word because you behaved as if i had thrown around slurs in the open. If someone cannot mention the issues AD(H)D brings without you screaming "ABLEISM", you'd better start looking for the issue within yourself, especially what caused the feeling of being inadequate.

Please explain how this is ableism in anyway. This nonexistant "person" does not resemble any human alive on this planet at all. Stop getting your panties in a bunch. I am very careful not using language that is used to insult or denigrate people. ADD isnt in the class of "r-word" language at all, and i actually fullfill 9/9 of the medical criteria for diagnosing ADD, so it was the first thing i grabbed at because it is so relateable to my own life. (and my chicken sandwiches are quite tasty too.)

It is increasing activity, not necessarily productivity. I see the issue that LLMs do not recognize and cannot communicate when they are missing necessary information to push the inference in the direction that is needed.

It's a bit like when you go into a diner and order a chicken sandwich, and the cook has read every book containing a chicken sandwich recipe in the world, no common sense, no budget / time limits on getting ingredients and an attention deficit disorder. You will (most of the time) get something that resembles a chicken sandwich, but it will probably never be to your taste. A normal cook has a lot of real world context to make sure that the sandwich is tasty - he knows what area he works in and what a chicken sandwich in this area normally contains, he knows how different ingredients interact with each other, and he is limited to what is available in his kitchen. If he knows you personally, he will be able to fine-tune the sandwich to your taste.

LLM output does not have ANY of that context. Even things we do not actively think about - because it's just the way how things are - are simply not available to an LLM. Only way to make sure our hypothetical ADD-ridden cook with eidetic memory makes a chicken sandwich worth a shit is to provide him with as much clear, non-ambiguous information as possible; and since the connection to the real world is missing, there can never be enough information - or rather, we are in the dark about what pieces of information would be needed to shift the probability towards the thing we actually want.

Powered by induction and using low power electronics might be able to get there; although if you arent fine with implanting induction coils in your cheekbones or under your eyebrows with attached energy storage implanted it might be a bit invasive. At that point it would be preferable to develop Cybereyes - a biointerface connecting your eye nerves using a biochip paired with a camera; the space that's left in the eyesocket is probably big enough for enough energy storage for a day. With how warfare is currently evolving, i do not see much future for MBTs in general, at least not in the amounts that were produced before. Drones simply kick the shit outta them while costing a fraction.

To be fair, you probably don't need to achieve the same energy density as hydrocarbons for the vast majority of flights. Yeah, non stop flights from canberra to stockholm or similar distances will probably (at least in our lifetime) always depend on high density fuel. But I can definitely see a near future where 100% of flights on the same continent can be run 100% electric. The energy conversion to electricity is most efficient in power plants and solar, so making sure that as many flights as possible are powered by those sources is for sure something that is preferable to anything we are doing today.

Also, those batteries - after having outlived their usefulness for aviation because of capacity loss - have still a long live in front of them as energy storage for the energy net itself, where a loss of 20% capacity isn't a dealbreaker. Since the largest issue nowadays isn't generation of power, but storage of the same for covering nights, building high capacity batteries is a good thing regardless of initial usage.

Combustion engines have maximum fuel efficiency at a specific RPM. A Hybrid has the advantage that you can run that engine at maximum efficiency 100% of the time and using the generated electrical energy to generate motion. The gains by being able to keep the ICE at peak efficiency are more than the loss you take from the conversion. That's the same principle as in hybrid cars - look up Technology Connections video where he analyzes the behavior of his hybrid car. It is for sure preferable to than just the ICE directly, losing a lot of efficiency and therefor fuel because of differences in needed power output. Combining this into a plugin-hybrid makes - as you said - the takeoff use no or just the default amount of jet fuel at all.

This will not eliminate the need for jet fuel, but even a reduction is preferable to the status quo. Until we get batteries that are light enough while keeping energy density at least as high as now (preferably higher), purely electric long-range flight is not an option that's available.
