In both cases, just a bit of a reboot.

Like, I still don’t understand how Nier tried to make death this big important momentous thing in these scenes, while also showing both of them die in the first fight of the game, after opening lines about being sick of dying repeatedly.

Fittingly, I’m also sick of rebooting stalled machines.
