never click this button, keep the ai sloppy

[–] fyzzlefry@retrolemmy.com 4 points 2 hours ago

Use it on real posts, muddy shit up.

[–] bitwolf@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 hour ago

So label the human posts AI slop, and don't label the actual AI slop. Got it.

Finally my opportunity to punish every bit of conservative drivel it puts in my feed.

[–] Quetzalcutlass@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of conservative talking point posts are made by LLM bots. Propaganda is a perfect match for the Confidently Incorrect Machine.

[–] naught101@lemmy.world 65 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

That's for helping to train their AI detection algorithms, which can then be used to train more undetectable AI

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 21 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

Just click it on every post.

[–] SorryQuick@lemmy.ca 4 points 55 minutes ago (2 children)

You do realize the instant you do that they immediately discard your data as an outlier and you’re just wasting your time?

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 2 points 20 minutes ago

There's always a chance they vibe coded it and have zero understanding of statistics.

statistically, it's likely.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 1 points 9 minutes ago

Well, I am reading posts on LinkedIn...

(Note: I do not ever go to LinkedIn, so this is all hypothetical)

[–] Mora@pawb.social 2 points 1 hour ago

It is Linkedin. It probably is nearly every post anyway.

[–] hperrin@lemmy.ca 84 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

I’m not going to help train Microsoft’s AI models.

[–] fyzzlefry@retrolemmy.com 7 points 2 hours ago

Train it wrong. As a joke.

[–] Syndication@lemmy.today 28 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

My god there is really no escaping this BS. Idk why they would call it slop while simultaneously using to train slop then lol

[–] Kushan@lemmy.world 31 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Because people that don't want to see the slop will press the big "fuck off with the slop" button and that's exactly what Microsoft wants.

[–] OpenStars@discuss.online 8 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

And we all know how good people are at distinguishing slop from OC.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 2 points 36 minutes ago

Better than machines. The point of this is to filter the slop, or even things that resemble it, to train on and hide the slop better in the future.

"Appears to be a generative AI strategy to optimise contemt velocity."

[–] silver@das-eck.haus 8 points 16 hours ago
[–] skisnow@lemmy.ca 3 points 13 hours ago

I went there just now, and the only slop I saw was being posted by people who I don't follow but who LinkedIn thought I should hear from anyway

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 5 points 15 hours ago

Add to that, every report button everywhere needs an option that just says “Smells like bullshit.”

[–] Zephyr@sh.itjust.works 3 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Honestly we just need to divide the internet into three sections. The human only content and posts section, the human and AI section, and the AI mainly section.

[–] uen3@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 hours ago

We already did. The 'human and AI' section is dbzer0, the human only contents and posts section is the rest of the fediverse, and the mainly-AI section is the entire publicly traded corpo / normie internet, which is the same thing as the 'dead internet' but hasn't quite realized it yet.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

Hang on... Let me vibe code the button into my web page. Lol j/k. Fuck AI.
