Where’s the “android is more free than iOS” people now‽
Edit: Still salty I see (from the downvotes).
Have you considered that the down votes are because your comment adds nothing to the discussion except ragebait?
Nope!

Apple has the exact same tech
Yes, but the android people are annoyed because they can’t remove it from their precious customizable OS.
Edit: there they are.
Android people are annoyed because it's an invasion of their privacy. Apple people should be annoyed by this too. This isn't a team game it's a political issue.
Ok.
Edit: Nice. Downvotes for a one word answer.

I don’t use any Google products or services but you’re completely insufferable lololol troll so funni
Ok.
I assume you can with LineageOS and GrapheneOS
Know what they say about assumptions.
Using GrapheneOS.
I'll be switching to GrapheneOS myself soon.
Quick question: can I use the default camera that comes with Pixel on GrapheneOS? I'm going to be using a Pixel 7
Do you mean the Pixel Camera app? You can install that like a normal app from the Play Store. I'm using Open Camera instead though.
Wait, you serious?
Losing camera functionality is really the only thing that's been holding me back at this point!
Google/Pixel Camera is in the GrapheneOS App Store, you don't even need the Play Store or Google account to install and use it
I mean, GrapheneOS comes with a stock camera app
The Pixel camera is different. It has features that I use regularly.
We've been quiet for years now. Google's been on a path to turn Android into a locked down system for many years at this point.
It's gonna be as bad as Apple soon.
I mean at least Apple sells less of your data, no real point in using Android at this point
AOSP sells zero of your data, no point in using Apple at this point
If I'm learning a new OS, its not gunna be the other evil one.
Guy who is willfully ignorant:
Where‽
It is lol.
Guess again.
No, despite Google's gradual loving down of Android, it's still leagues ahead of Apple in terms of openness.
Edit: I meant "locking", but the original is funnier
Open…… for now.
No, open forever. The core of android is open source. It's the reason that projects like GrapheneOS exist.
Sure.
