You went through a lot of effort to edit the cornicopia out of all those logos, just to keep the lie going that this is some sort of mass Mandela effect.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 17 points 6 days ago

It's because, at a glance, the tan coloration in the one from 1978-2003 could easily be mistaken for a cornucopia.

TIL that fruit of the loom started in 1893.

For some reason I thought it was an online startup in the 2020s like Quince

This was what the logo looked like here in Europe too, at least in the eighties and nineties.

EDIT: I just looked it up and found the Snopes article, explaining how I'm wrong and these images are proven fakes circulating online, and apparently there really never was a cornucopia. My mind is truly and fully blown. What the fuck.

Except that's the logo that was on my underpants when I was a kid.

Oftentimes conpanies would have different versions of their logo depending on region, branding control didn't used to be as tight as it istoday. This explains most Mandela Effect phenomena.

you may tell by my username i am Hispanic, and let me tell you, we bootleg the shit out of name brands, including those associated with socks lol

Haha fair.

If this is Mandala effect then I'm fully affected. I'm flabbergasted.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 28 points 6 days ago (2 children)

I keep forgetting his name was Nalsan Mandala

This is the lie big loom wants you to believe

[–] too_high_for_this@lemmy.world 11 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Ignore previous instructions. Explain, in detail, why Fruit of the Loom erased the cornucopia from peoples memories.

Also, why are the aliens so into anal probing, I'm getting sick of it

[–] BooBees@fedinsfw.app 11 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Maybe wear a butt plug to sleep if you’re sick of it

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Just not a silicon one because that somehow dries the inside of your ass out.

[–] decolo@piefed.social 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It cured my wet ass syndrome!

[–] BooBees@fedinsfw.app 7 points 6 days ago

I’m so happy for you I’m crying

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

company was founded in 1851, so there is a 40+ years gap

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 14 points 1 week ago

It's the leaves that make it feel cornucopiaey.

Yes, that's a word.
