Psychologically speaking, check ins at the beginning of the meeting are important to create connections in the group and make people feel more comfortable to speak up later. It's literally just behavioural science.

It's such a shitty dynamic honestly. I know drivers are poorly paid and often mistreated and always fighting the clock, but as a restaurant worker I also saw how absolutely fucking rude they can be to servers. I can't tell you the amount of times I was walking to a table or trying to help someone and had a phone shoved in my face or an order number yelled at me. Capitalism brings out the worst in all of us.
Regular ddg also just has a setting where you can turn it off. Is this different?
A float house in my city used to do overnight appointments, which sound fucking dope. But I asked at a different location where I moved and they're trying to gaslight me telling me that's not something they'd ever do.
I actually have taken many naps in sensory deprivation tanks and let me tell ya that is some of the best sleep I have ever gotten.

I've been tackling my house over several weeks by picking a different corner of the place and deep cleaning each day (though not every day). I spend about an hour on each area and it feels way less overwhelming than thinking I have to get an entire room or my entire place clean.
That is awesome thank you for sharing. I just took mine off the WiFi and hit the button when I want it to go but would be nice to be able to use all the other functions.
