makes total sense short term. makes little sense long term.

it's not just google
for the past year or so I've been telling people that DDG is so much better as it actually returns the results you're looking for, which Google stopped doing. except in the past few months, the same thing is happening there now too.
I don't know if it's fuckery with the search engines, people gaming SEO, ads, or if it's just the sheer quantity of shit that's on the internet now, but it's at least half of the time now that I go to search something and it's not in the top half dozen results. and sometimes I can't even find it at all, despite knowing that it definitely exists out there.
because they think they can make more money that way, and they don't care about the users even one little bit
the two of you did not say exclusive things
yeah it's where you coordinate with local groups and buy/sell things
no need for that, language is weird
unlock-able = able to be unlocked
un-lockable = unable to be locked
I don't even want the graphic, I just want the number. the graphic introduces overlays that are confusing at a glance
just assume yes
google has been found keeping information on you that they explicitly said they wouldn't. I can't recall the specifics. but apply that to any megacorp like this
chatgpt is NOT a therapist, dude
get away from that shit
it's not just you, it's because Windows is fucking shit and just doesn't do it sometimes
I haven't used other streaming boxes lately, but I find this hard to believe, mainly because of the shitty AppleTV remote with the godawful touchpad that everybody decided to implement different gestures for and which is notoriously difficult to gesture properly with and only when intended to
otherwise, I do agree that the AppleTV itself is quite polished. I use it for any streaming services that I may have, which is not many lately but was quite a few in the past, Plex, and YouTube primarily. also used to do some Zwift on it before I changed to using an iPad.
besides the absolutely horrible remote that for some reason doesn't have actual buttons for arrows and confirm, the rest of the experience actually is quite good and generally anything that is not is to do with the apps themselves. for example, Sportsnet is just a fucking terrible app no matter what platform you're on.
