there aren’t a lot of nice places hiring foreign workers en mass, and meta, google, palantir, tormentnexus, etc, offer a chance at a better life for them and their families.

the major reason to make life a hell for as many people as possible is to have this kind of leverage on them.

historian fails to understand that the company "palantir" was named by someone who, in fact, knew exactly what it meant, and it excited him.

i'm literally reading the expression on her face. what does that expression say to you? does this look like an active, engaged participant in… well, anything?

having women look dumb in photo shoots is as old as photo shoots, and it's done to reinforce misogyny. this photo isn't an accident, it was done with a team of people trying to achieve a look. she's playing her part, and she's good at it. i bet she practiced a lot.

exactly. he spent 30 minutes calling the irish ignorant, but the words "gulf stream" never tickled his neurons.

the extra-irony is that up until the last 10-15 years, "gulf stream" is what everyone in the usa called it, too. hank's just so tech-pilled he can't see anything else.

ah yes, hank green who spent an entire video chastising the citizens of ireland for being ignorant of the amoc.

dude never even bothered to think people called it something else there.

hes always been a self-satisfied, arrogant knob

you gotta give the ai bros credit, they've managed to turn "there's no such thing as bad publicity" into a multi-disciplinary corporate stratgy.

it's way creepier to ask for consent to look up the stairs in a staircase than it is to just do it.

"ma'am, i don't want to be a creep, so i need to know if you ENTHUSIASTICALLY CONSENT to having my eyes look in the direction of my travel. I AM NOT A CREEPER"
