I have tried many time, often in vain, but maybe 10% of the time it does work.

“Get them off Facebook” isn’t an option. They’re old, and it’s how they connect with their friends and get fulfilment.

This is exactly the kind of mentality that Meta preys upon. Create a new community. Invite them. Invite your family. Invite their friends. There is no other option. As long as we continue to capitulate to them, they will continue to exploit their power to harm their users.

Approximately half the population of Earth is on it on a monthly basis.

Do you really, honestly not understand it though? FAANG are the most valuable companies on the planet. They just blatantly bribe governments around the world (but especially the US) to leave them alone. Or they spend billions hiring lobbyists to protest it.

And the vast majority of their users obviously don't care. Virtually everyone I know uses Facebook on a regular basis, and yet I don't know a single person that uses the Fediverse. And when I tell them about it they act like I'm some sort of weird outcast or conspiracy theorist. People who don't care don't pressure politicians to fix it.

Did he cover the license plate in a pattern as well?

The fact that this man even pretends to cosplay as some sort of philanthropist after all of the horrific shit he's done is just deeply offensive.

But they do know. Because the user put it there.

"Google One", anybody?

Human mods will typically actually tell you why you were banned, and might even entertain a conversation about it.

These days most platforms just run it through the AI and it will just ban people completely randomly. If there even is a method to protest it is always rejected.

100%, that's why people are always banned completely randomly. This is just press to convince people to buy more stonks.

Every Windows debloater script comes with the caveat of "until the next update". Instead of becoming a Windows Defucking Engineer I just left it entirely.
