I reckon we shouldn't be normalising the idea that these things 'act on their own'. They were created by humans, and switched on by humans. Humans are responsible for everything they do.

And then they run for government.
Sucked in, dickheads!
That's why I call it 'a.i.' because fuck giving that shit the honour of capitalising it, and also as someone that sometimes goes by Al (lowercase L).
This is what I keep telling people. This whole game 'ownership' debate is only happening because no-one ever reads the EULA.
That dude's really never had an original idea in his life, has he?
No, you are entirely to blame.
I was in bed when I checked the app, so no, but I will.
Later: looking in the app while the camera was on, I couldn't even find the screen that showed other cameras on the map.
I have a Blackvue camera, and just checked the settings. I don't think I've looked at it before when setting it up, but it seems to be defaulted to off. You have to opt in to this. I'm not sure why anyone would. Maybe to attempt tracking your car if it gets stolen? I'd be pretty easy for any thief to thwart by unplugging the camera, but in the heat of the moment they might miss it.
Or maybe it's for those vain idiots that constantly broadcast their lives as if anyone else gives a fuck, in which case I hope they get everything they deserve.
As at least one AI CEO has said, if they had to pay for all the laws they've broken and resources they've stolen, all AI companies currently existing would go out of business.
I find those terms acceptable.
So it was a moral choice? MS were too moral for him?
