A plumber, you say?

Some kind of

House doctor?

[–] NeatNit@discuss.tchncs.de 26 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I love this. Certain surgeries absolutely involve some amount of "plumbing", e.g. connecting the blood vessels in a pig heart transplant (I think they even refer to it as plumbing, perhaps informally). And I think it's very accurate to say that plumbers, electricians etc. are to houses as surgeons are to living creatures.

I got a novel plumbing job from a surgeon!

I got genital nullification surgery. With My weiner removed, I needed somewhere to pee from. So the meat man plumbed My urethra downwards to around where cis women keep theirs, sans clam. I have what's called a meatus, which is a medical term for an opening on the body. The end of My hose is neither a male nor female socket. It's not a socket at all!

That awesome.. and/or horrifying. I'm so glad I'm comfortable with the default configuration my body came with, and don't often have to think about stuff like this. But I'm also really glad you seem happy with the results of your, uhhh, renovations!

Although.. What exactly is a male socket? I've always thought of it as an outlet, nothing goes into it, stuff only flows out.

[–] SaltyIceteaMaker@lemmy.ml 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

nothing goes into it

not with that attitude!

(but like, seriously thats a kink. ~~to no ones surprise~~)

[–] NeatNit@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Lol, I knew someone would chime in with that. But by design at least, there should be no flow from the outside in. To the extent that we can call evolution's craftsmanship 'design'.

The only thing I know about that is the scene from House where he catheters himself. To the extent we can trust the show's medical accuracy, his reaction during the insertion, and the number of pain pills he took beforehand, let's just say it seems highly unpleasant!

[–] SaltyIceteaMaker@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 weeks ago

i assume its the same as anal, if you shove a huge thing up there its obviously gonna hurt, but if you start small and train bigger and bigger...

but like, it already sounds unpleasant, i dont even wanna imagine how it feels

There's a 90s-ass CRT monitor in the background!

[–] hydrashok@sh.itjust.works 13 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

That’s still high tech in Russia.

There's a 90s-ass CRT monitor in my house too. It's dope af. Might even be the same chassis which was everywhere.

[–] runner_g@piefed.blahaj.zone 3 points 3 weeks ago

Dude the stumbleupon button really takes me back. That was a huge part of my childhood internet experience.

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 18 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

He should consider doing a sketch show with Stephen Fry

I've never felt like breaking into a car before, but now I kinda do 😄

Maybe he should try his hand at football coaching in stead

[–] AppleTea@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I like the bitesized street gags. The one with the cabbie I think of often

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah, those are great too!

I also love Hugh's brilliantly stupid songs such as Where is the lid and Mystery 😆🥰

[–] Smoogs@lemmy.world 13 points 3 weeks ago

"wow Hugh's Russian accent is spot on"

[–] enchantedgoldapple@sopuli.xyz 13 points 3 weeks ago

It's definitely not Dr. House. You can tell by his face that he's actually willing to listen to what others have to say

[–] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago

I'd be surprised to see the Prince Regent, too.

[–] khanh@lemmy.zip 6 points 3 weeks ago
