I won a 100+ USD giveaway once a few years ago from a company of a niche program that I like. To participate I had to make a twitter post about the program, what I like about it, and their current sale. As I didn't have twitter I created a quick account, wrote a whatever post that literally no one would have seen, and then submitted my entry. I ended up being one of the 5 winners. Lol

I don't remember if liking and reposting was involved but I won a giveaway raffle thing from Razer years. They gave me one of their smallest laptops with all the worst parts. They said something like "Congratulations! Please feel free to share in social media when you receive it!"

I guess this could be considered me sharing lol.

Don't get me wrong, free laptop and my first and only laptop I've ever had that wasn't an old, used hand me down. I was very thankful for it, but literally the only thing I could upgrade was the ssd and I replaced the battery twice. It has finally stopped even registering a battery so it is just a more lightweight and convenient spicy desktop now.

I hope to receive a new framework laptop soon though. Technically my first laptop I've ever purchased. (And possibly the last? My Theseus' laptop?)

Why would you like a company? Can you give me names of companies worth liking? Genuinely curious here, maybe I do like some and never thought about it...

There is a local chain I buy cannabis from that are doing a giveaway for some branded products. Thought I might give it a go, scan the QR code on the in store flyer only to see that it's an X link.

Fair enough, I've been using their OS for free since 2007, I'm grateful for all the hard work they put into the only major European OS that can even vaguely be defined as "popular", no other OS comes close and especially not any European HQ'd one

Xitter is a bad example but I can imagine someone liking / sharing posts for their favourite video game or MMO. Like if there was an update for FFXIV, you might share it with your friends so they don't miss it. Or if there's a giveaway code or something. Stuff like that where it's actually useful and impactful to your life or hobbies.

Try getting a wedding photographer without Instagram. Two thirds of them don't even have a website anymore, only Instagram. They have Zuckerbergs giant oily cock all the way down their throat and they want you to lick the sweaty balls.
