Why would you like a company? Can you give me names of companies worth liking? Genuinely curious here, maybe I do like some and never thought about it...

There is a local chain I buy cannabis from that are doing a giveaway for some branded products. Thought I might give it a go, scan the QR code on the in store flyer only to see that it's an X link.

Fair enough, I've been using their OS for free since 2007, I'm grateful for all the hard work they put into the only major European OS that can even vaguely be defined as "popular", no other OS comes close and especially not any European HQ'd one

Xitter is a bad example but I can imagine someone liking / sharing posts for their favourite video game or MMO. Like if there was an update for FFXIV, you might share it with your friends so they don't miss it. Or if there's a giveaway code or something. Stuff like that where it's actually useful and impactful to your life or hobbies.
