Oh well guess I'll continue using streamio until I can be bothered to set up my jellyfin & friends

The irony of the company world-famous for being over-priced having the streaming service which most justifies a price increase.

20 percent? That sounds like 100 percent people don't want to pay for it anymore.

Back in my day!

Cable TV subscriptions never increased this quickly...

That's strange, still $0 for me.

Who subscribes to anything anymore, besides basic services/utilities.

I have one for music, dropout.tv, and a service that I use to fill the gap.

If I didn't watch stuff on dropout, I'd probably donate or keep the sub because it's truly a great company ran by Sam Reich, and I like supporting them.

If any service is justified it is this

Agreed. As much as I hate Apple and have never paid for Apple TV, they are putting out some of the best TV shows around

I'm in the same spot.
Never liked the way Apple does things. Never bought an Apple product. But the last few months, I've been considering an Apple TV sub. I'm watching 5 or 6 series, and have enjoyed several of their movies.

I might even give up Netflix for it. Which feels strange, since my Netflix account is nearly as old as Netflix itself. Used to rip so many Netflix DVDs.

Agreed, it has been somewhat underpriced. But I also generally prefer my plex setup, and have only had Apple One for classical music, Friday night MLB games, and F1.

Strongly considered and almost cancelled Apple One this morning, but figured I’d hang on until the end of baseball and formula 1 seasons. This price jump changed my mind, and now cancelled.
