People who live in deserts know three things, drought, fires and flash floods. Fires in the desert happen a lot. Probably way more than anywhere else.

Lemme rephrase a bit: people who bet on this sort of thing are probably ones who have only lived in a desert, never having seen a tree in the first place.

I'm sure there's plenty of fires in a hot place.
