They pay employees enough that we have to then pay for those employees' welfare. It's not a free market. It's a subsidized one.
Companies would pay you near zero if they could. And all they have to do to accomplish that is remove the minimum wage and cut social programs.
if people don't earn enough to live the supply of lobourers naturally fixes itself
In that scenario theft and murder happen until the economy and government fix themselves.
