I usually remember to fold over the edge, but I don't tape many things, so usually by the next time I try to use it it's been ruined in some way.

I've had good luck with tape dispensers. I know one might think of them as mostly for scotch tape (I know I used to) but, scaled up effectively, they're great.

I haven't tried them for duct tape, but i imagine its gluiness would interfere with functionality.

I don't see the problem.

Hopefully you've cleaned up by now!

What about Aaron's iron urn?

I put on my robe and wizard hat.

edit: I thought that was a tool chest. On closer inspection, I see that it's not, which makes your comment make more sense and be much funnier than mine. I apologize if I've interfered with the enjoyment gained by anyone else.

I didn't have FSD, but this is pretty much what cruise control / lane assist did.

"Smart" in this context wasn't as much of a thing back then, but The Transporter had a similar option.

I prefer physical media, but I appreciate the utility of ereaders. I, too, would prefer buttons if I used an ereader with any frequency; I still lament the disappearance of them from my phone!

However, in case this is a problem you really need fixed: my wife is an avid ereader user. She didn't like the page turning for many of the reasons you listed, so she bought a ring that has Bluetooth and a singular button. The ring connects to your reader, then when you press the button, simulates a click or screen tap. You get the page turning experience it sounds like you want and, after setup, the only thing you need to physically exert at all is your thumb.

edit: Fixed an embarrassing number of typos.

Hey now, no matter how talented anyone is at something, we all did whatever it is for the first time once.

For example, I've opened this post as nearly the first thing I saw after waking up three times now and I'm getting pretty good at not flinching!

Oh no! Regardless of which way I turn, there's a wall!

I once was buying an energy drink in the absurdly early morning on my way to work. In the pursuit of doing so, I stopped at a convenience store I had never visited before. I ended up the second customer in a line of two; the first was very visibly on ... Something. Not in his right mind, is the point. He turned around and greeted me as the cashier scanned his items; I nodded and said hello, then made no effort to further the conversation.

After a surprisingly long pause during which I both suspected and hoped he had forgotten I was there, he refocused on me and said "HEY. Look at me when I'm talking to you."

As I had done so, I was trying to figure out the least provocative way to respond. A moment later, the cashier said something - I don't remember the exact words, but in essence it was a very calm "don't bother customers in my store." She didn't yell or threaten, but the other customer immediately backed off. I was pretty impressed, to be honest.

Much as I was grateful for that cashier's intervention, I never went back to that store.
