Yeah they claim it's safe because it's through their store, but isn't this a direct path to a supply chain attack? One app using electron has one bad npm dependency and it auto installs and updates on every machine? This seems like a security nightmare scenario.

Yeah no shit. This was the plan all along. Big tech wanted to flood the market with too much talent so they could lower pay for engineers. This was always the plan.
They never gave two shits about women in coding, or inner city coding caml's. They wanted mass cheap labor.
