Other way round. While NVIDIA works perfectly fine their drivers are proprietary, while AMD has open drivers.

We don't have such problems in Austria. We also don't have 40 degrees but I dare say it's not inherent of trains.
Comaps is really good but I haven't found anything that provides traffic data... So also using google maps for driving
