I played paintball once and they had a "tag them out" rule. I snuck up on someone and tagged them. Pretty satisfying. Then I got shot with a paintball while standing there smug.

Maybe they should instead build technology that people want and that solves their needs.
My job had the entire engineering team spend 12 hours in "training" with Microsoft for AI. All they did was show us like some basic GitHub functionality.
Utter waste. Management are a bunch of fucking idiots.
Market the company and, for smaller companies that want funding, beg and network.
Leadership is often removed from how work actually gets done. This is part of why they often make bonkers decisions.
They don't understand that most of the time isn't going into typing code into the computer. It's figuring out what the product guy and CEO actually want. It's pulling answers out of them (eg: what do you want to do if the user's name is null?) or dealing with it when they don't like your decision (eg: you didn't say what to do when I don't have their name, so the email just says "hey". I really don't think this is a crisis)
Many executives are also board members.
Right? Emulators are pretty popular. Piracy is a service problem.
If they released PC ports of Nintendo games I would play a lot of them.
Paywall, but going by the headline: good
The world is burning and these assholes are making it worse.
Workers skeptical of unions in a survey of 1,900 tech professionals conducted by the career site Blind cited specific concerns: that unions are “not meritocratic,” “prevent innovation,” and “hold back earnings of top performers.”
Looking at my non union job where idiots make millions and it has taken years to get even the basics of ci/cd implemented.
That can be scaled horizontally and is just a matter of building more data centers.
At one of my old jobs "just" was considered a bad word
Good. Break them up. Criminally charge their leadership.
It was never going to work out in favor of consumers.
Also fuck Microsoft. At the very least they should be broken up.
