I will never use AI unless I am paid to like I currently am. I am not a worse developer for it. I have been learning software engineering continuously my entire life. I am completely self taught for over a decade professionally and longer than that in my free time. I have no university degree. I grew up in poverty in nowheresville Kentucky.

I don't need an LLM to learn or succeed. LLMs literally need people like me. I am sad Linus cant see it that way, but never meet your heroes so they say. l

The professor doesn't understand that those students are exactly what capitalism demands as the next employees. Every single one of them will be keeping our economies afloat with their reliance on AI

No problem. USDS wasn't always about 'efficiency' and used to be a way for digital services to be made. For example, if Medicare for All were to happen, who makes the web dashboard for every American to log into? Before doge was a thing, it would have been USDS. Hopefully Trump doesn't kill the office is what I'm saying, so whenever we get Medicare for All through it'll be made by some competent people and not claude or fable or whatever the next hot AI slop generator is.

I beg for you to reinterpret my comment my guy. I don't really want to explain it to you, but to put it shortly: you got the wrong message from it

I hope this doesn't mean USDS shuts down. I wanted to apply there assuming it would return back to its software development roots.

not if companies go broke

That's what a bubble popping is. NVidia is over-inflated. AI datacenters are over-inflated. The bubble will pop, many will go out of business, and all of their hardware will be liquidated.
