IMO, where vanilla really comes into its own is in very small amounts in savoury foods.

Many mobile apps have a "pull to refresh" feature where you swipe up to the top of whatever list you're looking at and then swipe up even further to refresh the whole feed. A "crazy refresh pull" is when said content appears on the newly refreshed feed and the user finds it enjoyable in a way they find to be extraordinary, or at the very least, better than average.
