Sonic the Hedgehog for me. I love the franchise, but I stay clear of the fandom. So many weird people latch onto Sonic stuff and make it all icky and creepy. I guess that's what happens when a company like SEGA claims "Everything is canon."

F.B. Purity is a desktop browser extension, it only works on the website from a PC. It won't run on Android devices, unfortunately. They've been talking about making an app for it for years, but they still haven't made one.
Has everyone forgotten about F.B. Purity (Fluff Busting Purity)? It's a browser extension that lets you customize the entire interface of Facebook. It's been around for 17 years and still works just fine.
I use it to remove not only ads, but FB games, marketplace, reels/videos, suggestions/featured content, FB Messenger, etc. I pretty much locked down my Facebook interface to only show me posts from my friends in the order that they were posted, with the latest at the top of my feed. Just like Facebook used to be before it started shoving useless content in your face.
The only reason I still have a Facebook account is because 90% of my friends, family, and contacts I've made over a lifetime of global travels, are all on Facebook. If I need to get in touch with someone, Facebook is where I'll find them. But I don't post anything to Facebook anymore; I rarely log on to it.
There isn't another social media program where I can find everyone I know without subscribing to even more junk. I won't use Instagram, Snapchat, Whatsapp, TikTok, or any of the other corporate social media programs, and most people I know/knew in person don't use or understand the Fediverse.
Bluesky and Discord are as corporate as I'll tolerate, and I'm already on the lookout for replacements for both. I used to have a Mastodon account a decade ago, before the Fediverse was a common thing, but I have no idea what site I built an account on. I might have to just suck it up and rebuild my account somewhere else. And there are plenty of Discord clones out there, but none quite as functional as Discord yet...
I actually have electric number pad locks on both doors. They're separate locks; the back door has had one for years and I just installed a new door on the front a couple years ago.
So they technically have two separate keys, but we don't really use the keys. I know the combo to both doors (since it's my home), but my friends living on the first floor only know the combo to their front door.
I like it because they're set to always be locked from the outside, so I never have to worry about whether I locked my door or not. If the door shuts, it's locked. And I don't need to carry a key around. Just enter the combo and it unlocks for 10 seconds.
Who has front and back doors that are keyed differently?
My house was designed to be a duplex (despite being a single house on a 6-acre country property), so the two floors have their own separate amenities. They only connect with a rickety staircase in the basement. Otherwise, they might as well be two separate apartments.
The house is embedded in a hill, so the first floor walks out at ground level in the front yard and the second floor exits at ground level in the back yard.
My parents used to rent out the first floor when I was a kid, so that door always had a separate lock. Now, I have a buddy and his mother living in the first floor while they're trying to get back on their feet.
Their house got foreclosed on when they were 95% paid off on their mortgage, so they lost everything. And rentals are way too expensive in my area for them to afford. So they're staying with me until they can save enough for a home of their own.
I like that they have their own key separate from my floor. I don't have to worry about them snooping in my home when I'm not around, and vice versa. They get a sense of privacy, knowing that I'm not just gonna walk into their home.

Change "nurse" to "housewife" and you described most US military spouses. So many of them were pushing pyramid schemes... err... "multi-level marketing" amongst one another.
My wife served in the military alongside me, and yet even she got roped into an MLM scheme at one point.

I remember software in the '90s having "limited licenses," but operating on the honor system. Because you could just install it on as many computers as you wanted and there wasn't really a way for companies to stop you.
It wasn't until the early 2000s when I started seeing licenses verified through the Internet and actually limiting their usage.
Don't forget the blue silicone wedding ring. They pushed those at the BX/PX as a way to show your marital status without taking your valuable ring to a deployed site.
I've been mostly obsessed with the comics as well. I built a website just to track all the comics and arrange their covers in proper reading order.
