Who can afford streaming?

I remember that Black Mirror episode.

You’re wrong about flock, data centers, and mass surveillance being left wing. I have a sizeable swath of family in varying states, many of which vote conservative no matter who it is. They’re pissed about profiling, data centers, and flock.

These appear to be unifying issues amongst non-billionaires, not party issues.

Talk to people. These are topics that are cracking the social barrier Trump put up between parties.

Tanks property value, quiet enjoyment of said property, raises utility bills, feeds the water crisis, fucks our ability to build our own computers on a budget. All under NDAs with local government. Whats not to love?

I ask people every now and then, the theme of the answer is similar: one stop shopping, it’s easier than looking elsewhere, answering with the question where else am I going to go? People tend to take the shortest path between A and B.

There are some things you can only find there, sure, but there’s more of a shopping dopamine hit if you look around. Other retailers do exist. Most of the time you can find it elsewhere.

It’s weird to me, anyone using Edge or Chrome over Mozilla. It makes no sense. It’s not 1998 anymore. Surely people have had time to absorb the progression of things.

I do not understand. Scrabble or Words with Friends, ok, if and only if there’s an ad blocker, but the rest, how? It’s like painting a house wall with a half inch art paintbrush.

The underlying problem. It’s a moocher circle jerk.

Another Atlantic article that appears to hit.

The TLDR is if you seek higher cognition and use AI as a tool alongside that practice you’ll be fine. If you lean on AI to avoid cognition then you’ll backslide into the primordial goo as a person.
