When I bought my house there were a bunch of smart gadgets - lightbulbs, thermostat, fridge - and after a couple of months I'd gradually disabled all the smart features because they were causing more problems than they were fixing. The cold December day when we didn't have any heating because a fucking server was down was the worst.

We're gonna get the blackwall, just you wait. Cyberpunk is coming but only the bits that really suck.

If everyone's telling you to introspect maybe you should try it.

most are just a series of cliches and can only express themselves in cliches because they have never had a critical or original thought in their entire life.

My nibling in Matshishkapeu's stank, the call is coming from inside the house.

It's weird how every time a company does something they're known for doing and it's badly received they claim it was an unintentional rollout.

The fix is so terrible that it comes with a warning only to do it if you're absolutely sure you understand what you're doing, along with the warning that I only know for certain that it works on a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU - it may work for other CPUs but I have no way to test that. It's a fix I saw posted and ignored because, as the admin replied before locking said thread, it's dangerous and there's no reason it would actually work, but eventually independently found myself at: overvolt your CPU. Very carefully, just by a little bit. I don't understand why it works, just that it fixed the regular crashes I had in Clair Obscur, Helldivers, and Palworld, and some of the crashes in Romeo Is A Dead Man (the latter also has other crashes related to the GPU). By all rights it shouldn't work and suggests some very weird behaviour from UE5, but somehow it did. It comes with the side effects of needing really good cooling and potentially shortening the CPU's lifespan, so it's imperative you look for alternative solutions that aren't stupid and dangerous first.

Just palworld or UE5 games in general? Because I found a fix for that but it's terrible and I hate it.

Kinda sounds like education isn't actually an option then, doesn't it? It's nice you have a fantasy of a perfect world, but it doesn't exist, so your actual real world choices are to either lose the murder machines or smile for the camera.

Well it's been a century, how do you think the educations going?

Yeah you shouldn't have guns either, you don't even use them for what you're meant to.
Cars might not be weapons, but mistakes made or malfunctions that happen while controlling them can cause as much if not far more damage than many weapons, even before including distractions like phones. The options are surveillance or getting rid of cars.

I know of at least 1 study on human behaviour, where an image of an eye was added to a bathroom and increased the number of people who washed their hands after using the facilities, that suggests people do in fact need the "threat" of feeling they're being watched to behave responsibly.
Ultimately, when you're in control of something with the potential destructiveness of a car, you do need to be monitored for everyone's safety. The only way to have a society without that level of monitoring is to have one without general access to cars.

Not a particularly bad place to stop, I got a few hours in, stopped, then when I picked it back up I realised I'd basically stopped right before the story kicks in and was hooked for the rest.
