If youre doing niche hobby stuff why are you even talking about monetization? This is for people who dont have a real job and trying to make it in youtubes version of hollywood.

You frame it with ambition as a virtue to be desired, but that's really not a given.. ambition is often super toxic. I can imagine a future of luxury automated space communism(tm) where the ultimate purpose is fulfillment. To be Zen is to release ones self from ego and put desire and ambition in context.
We must be on different lemmys because it seems pretty well understood here that the whole point of socialism is that the workers democratically control the means of production, only liberals from the USA act confused about that
