How do I put this, the fact that a platform may be used by unsavory characters in some specific capacity and context does not affect normal people who use it to communicate with friends - which is what chat apps were designed to do. People use discord to talk to their friends while playing games. They use WhatsApp, signal, telegram and so on to text with friends. At least that's the primary usage. Now if one were to venture out into the wild and start engaging with strange animal fuckers in obscure channels etc, that is something that doesn't play into the average user experience.

So one's friends become zoosadists - whatever that is - if they're chatting via discord?

The argument that there's creeps using a platform is moot if you're using it to communicate with your friends. Which is what people do. It's so weird to me, like, the same can be said about Signal etc etc but nooooo, there it's only the good ones chatting. Get outta here with this shit.

I wouldn't say they're mutually exclusive, way I see it, it's more that there's facts and then there's the way people feel about facts. For example, it shouldn't matter how people feel about the situation in Gaza, whether one is sympathetic towards one side or the other etc. There are facts about what is happening, who is doing it etc that cannot and should not be ignored. The greatest propaganda machine that has ever existed is tirelessly working trying to sway public opinion and it's working. That's why I hate such fucking stupid memes, fuck that girl and her condescending look, keeping quiet is complacency. If you think it doesn't matter what a random idiot online thinks, next thing you know the world is full of random idiots and they control the narrative, and all of a sudden what you thought was a perfectly reasonable position is now a fringe conspiracy theory and Joe Rogan is fair and balanced. Don't look far, how do you think the US ended up with two far right parties?

Screw feelings. The truth is worth discovering.

Car actually doesn't look that bad, true. I guess it's just not what people expect when they hear Ferrari. Imho it's one of those cars that won't sell now but in 50 years it will be a sought after rarity.
