If it is a time-sensitive obstacle, I am not going to think about signalling before manouvering. As for construction zones no one signals when they cross lines here when there is an obvious right of way. If I saw someone else signal halfway through a construction zone I'd wonder if they were turning off...

You are right that it can sometimes solve the issue, especially with cyclists and the like, but I still find the feature obnoxious.

I like Bluetooth as well so I added a Chinesium Bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter to my dumb older car. Got a phone mount as well for when I need maps. Having tried Android Auto, I can say my setup works just as well for me and it comes without any of the shit software or the hardware lock-in.

Yeah, if it's anything like the assists in the Sprinter I've used for work, that shit can get annoying and I don't blame people for disabling them. Yeah I keep them enabled most of the time, but these systems fail to have any nuance. For instance the lane assist doesn't realise I may have a reason for drifting out of the lane be that an obstacle, a bicyclist, construction or otherwise. The car jerking the steering wheel around doesn't help me to drive very well, does it, but it has caused me to try and counteract it with bad steering inputs. The blind spot sensor is more useful and yet it still cries wolf by beeping at me in double turn lanes or in the rain or sometimes on a sunny day while 2m from a traffic post... so I have started to put much less stock in it.

Where are you getting 5% from? For one, Twitch doesn't have donations. They have subs and bits. Subs start at 50/50^1^, and go to 70/30 if are a larger streamer^2^. Bits are harder to find info on, but supposedly 1 bit = 1 cent, but the purchase price is higher so if you look at the raw purchase price of 100 bits = $1.40USD then Twitch is taking a ~30% cut.

I used to see a lot of streamers go through third-party sites which have lower cuts, and presumably that is still a popular route. But these have little to do with Twitch and as far as I know you can do this on YouTube as well.

This is the same as gamers ranting about cosmetic prices while spending $100 a month on them. It does nothing. The company sees the balance sheets and walks away laughing while your words are ignored. Money talks and words are only worth anything when it threatens their future money streams.

I hope they actually follow through and start making the OS less a gallery of 2 decades worth of half-assed redesigns and more a cohesive, responsive design. Dare I say their last actually decent UI update may have been Windows 8 which was also half-assed but at least it worked well from what I hear. Windows being a centrally controlled OS should be better at this than Linux and yet they aren't!

I believe they were claiming it is installed the same as a driver, not that it's a driver in the literal sense. That was my understanding of it too, so is that wrong? Surely Windows looks for drivers, downloads them, and this gets installed alongside. If it is not listed as a driver then why is Windows installing it? Is this a Windows issue of giving companies the ability to install optional crap or is it a company issue of hiding optional crap inside their "driver" packages?

I consider "not launched in the country", "not purchasable without a shipping redirect service" and "doesn't work with half the infrastructure" as enough cause to label it as "unavailable".

I was recently shopping for a phone too, OP15 was a contender. Originally wanted to grab the OP12 for it's camera and price but I missed the train. OP15 was tempting but expensive so I held off. Samsung Ultra are all overpriced and stagnated.

I eventually gave up on my hard requirements of 512GB storage and better battery life and bought a used Samsung Ultra for 800 CAD. Battery is disappointing as expected, but it does everything just as good as a new Ultra seeing as they haven't updated any specs outside CPU power in 5 years.

Am I happy with the market state? No. Am I happy with the phone? Yes.
