Actually they can sue you. Anyone can sue anyone else over anything. It's whether the lawsuit or not has any merits and will be carried on is what decides that. If you have a lot of money and want to fuck over a poor person sue them for nothing. The poors still have to spend all their money defending themselves against nothing or else they're in contempt of court and you get the satisfaction of destroying them financially forever. No crime, but the poors still get punished.

In the long long ago, in the before time, when a new manga, or anime became popular it wasn't long before the fanbase formed. These weren't your fanbases of today, these were communities to soak up everything there was to their favorite sgow. There was competition and cringe yes, but it had honor, there were boundaries. It was like this for decades.

Then Rick showed us how much he loves Szechuan Sauce and McDonald's thought Rick and Morty was any other fanbase. They were wrong. Now a fanbase is just another segment of the population which can be marketed to and have wealth extracted. Another thing that can be packaged up into a product or video to maximize how much of your money or attention they get.

We're Rick and Morty or McDonald's to blame? No, they were only doing what everyone had been doing for decades. No, the world is different. The shows are different. The whole business is different. We the fans are different. We have to take our favorite thing as far as it will go to get as much as we can, boundaries be damned.

Now I follow the same path you do I...

...don't really care who else likes it though.

It could be because most independent Manga artist want the exposure and won't enforce their copyright as rigoursly. Whereas a publishing company already has the exposure and wants to control their IP and will enforce their copyright. Especially because to hold a copyright the owner needs to defend it.

Because they're in a race against each other that they can never win. Elon Musk may have gotten a little wiggle room from his competition when SpaceX went public but you can bet your ass (cause I know all of you don't have a dollar to waste) Larry Page is running his brain ragged trying to think about how he becomes the most powerful one. It's just a pissing contest and unfortunately they're really careless

My favorite interview experience was at a company that listed the expected salary on the job posting. Then when the question of my salary came up I told them I was happy with what they said they offered in the ad. It was in line with other ads for similar positions. That was not the right answer. They said that if I was actually passionate about the company that I would have made a low offer to save the department money. I remarked that I wasn't an employee yet so the department and companies wellbeing wasn't one of my priorities. I didn't get the job, although I wasn't upset I didn't.

Sure when you set the goal post that far away you're right but by doing that you've made your argument so pedantic that it's just not worth arguing against. In practice at some point the variance is so insignificant and we can just say it's a right angle. If you want to maintain the position that it's not a perfect right angle by all means you're welcome to do that. I'd say, that piece of bismuth is close enough.

Amen! I may not believe in a god but if I did, it's obvious that land was not meant for humans.

The best case scenario his name falls to J.D. Rockefeller and is mostly forgotten except when as an example of obscene wealth.

Worst case he pulls an Alfred Nobel and does one sort of good thing he's mostly remembered for.

Yup, can attest. It sucks. Unless the application is listed on our approved app list I can't even request it. Let alone the months it can take IT to get around to installing it for me.

Not only that but Toyota as an example does a lot to localize their products. So for example, a Toyota built in the Northern parts of North America will have better winterizing. Whereas a Toyota built in a coastal area like much of Japan will be resistant to salt water spray.

While OP is trying to imply that Toyota is selling crap to American's because they think Americans are so stupid they'll never noticed, the fact is that a car built for Japan will not last as long in America as a car built for Americans.
