the idea that a startup founder would be a good example of a typical tech person??? Its like the founder of a plumbing company as a typical plumber.

"young man as he was on a call explaining, in painfully monotone detail, EBITDAs, margin expansion opportunities, cost structures, ARR, etc."
that does not sound like someone in IT. Granted many of my roles it seemed like they were constantly pushing bussness and management bs on you so maybe. thos things did make me the most depressed with my job activities.
I was more saying if gov money is used it should be open source.
only open weight. this is government money. it should have everything open so it can be determined they are all up and up. They should not need to hide they are using ip they are not sopposed to or such. I don't get why this is being shyed away from. I think an ai should be trained on exclusively public domain or creative commons or such.
yes because its clear by context this is about the web.
my problem with eyedrops is my eyelid. I desperately want to keep it open.
its not just ai really. a lot of bs going on. I say people should risk their jobs to not bend to bs. work like you think you should and don't worry about if they think that is good enough. the modern world sucks and we should live in it genuinely as that is the only thing we have left to ourselves.
id still take 7 over 10. can't recall anything specifically in ten that I used.
why would engineers existing cause people not to learn to read? I really don't get the connection here. I in no way want to abandon stem just reign in capitalism.
I mean:
"Released on July 21, the Science: A New Golden Age report seeks to update Vannevar Bush’s landmark 1945 report Science: The Endless Frontier for the modern era. In the report, OSTP Director Michael Kratsios argues that today’s scientific landscape — shaped by AI, global competition, and private-sector investment — requires a fundamental redesign of how the federal government funds research."
sooooo. in 1945 a report talking about ai and global competition was written. was this written by ai (the government thing or its press release)
its not engineers. its business folks utlizing talent. bezos and musk are not geniuses who created these things they are venture capitalists who funded them.
"are instead being forced ot ignore ai or pledge to be anti ai by their social circles and customers."
umm. im pretty sure you don't need to worry about that.
