Literally every distro ever even Debian. Has broken user space on updates. It just happens. It's a fact of life. If your distro hasnt done it to you at least once you are either very new to Linux or you are lying though your teeth.

You fix that by not using gnome. Or butchering gnome with enough extensions to functionally be a reverse lobotomy.
Since gnomes entirely shitck is that you don't get to decide how gnome works. It's out of the box or fuck off.
It's why it needs a billion extension and mods to be remotely functional
To be fair, adoption as a concept is the problem not the actual aur.

Chrome/chrome based or firefox/Firefox based.
Do you want a bullet to the arm or the leg. You get one choice and your option can't included neither.

To be fair billibilli in a lot of ways is much worse then YouTube has ever been.
It's aggressively poor as a platform for history channels. And while foreign politics are fine. Anything Chinese poltic related gets nuked from the platform aggressively.
The app is barely functional, changes for the worse more then YouTube does and basically has no way to support small creators.
It's in no way a YouTube alternative beyond that it hosts videos.
You wouldn't have an account for long if you did anyways. Billibilli makes the censorship on YouTube look like fucking childs play.
Foreign politics are fine, world history is fine. But anything that remotely touches on modern Chinese history or politics gets nuked from orbit and aggressively attacked.
It's a big reason why if you use Chinese apps for any length of time the one oddly absent thing from all of them is chinese politics.
It's extremely hard to over state just how aggressive billiblli can be about this.
