It's almost as if the age checking capabilities of AI is non-existent. If someone needs to have their age verified to view a social media site how can that same technology not be used to catch csam ?

Not enough, needs to be bullets in all their heads. These people are the villans and should be treated as such.
A group chat between 4 people should be just as private of a chat than between two people. Private isn't a quantity, you can have a private chat with 100 people if you wanted. However clearly none of its actually private.
And this is why I've moved away from snap, and most other platforms, I'm back to texting and using carrier pigeons.
