I've been using Linux for more than 10 years and I had no idea this was a thing lol.
But yeah after reading up on it I don't see the issue with giving someone this id (though I also don't see any reason why someone would need it). It's just a file on disk that can be changed at will with a kernel parameter.
My problem with apple is that they're a shitty anti-consumer company, so i won't ever buy anything from them. (I also just really dislike macos. have to use it for work now and jesus it is awful)
Well in the case of the Netherlands, solar panels used to be subsidised by the government (I think that program ended last year or something), and currently, you can get subsidies for home batteries. The government does also want to fix the grif after all.
There's actually quite a lot of people here that have solar panels and a home battery here, enough to make a measurable difference when imbalance ia high.
I don't even understand how they imagine this will work. Most printers are certainly not powerful enough to do real 3d object detection. Even if they forced slicers to include this, just fork OrcaSlicer and take it back out. Actually a lot of printers run open source software as well, so we can just fork klipper of it ever comes to that.
Even if I could afford ram, that doesn't even mean I can afford a framework laptop. I've looked at them every time I've thought about buying a laptop, but they're just so damn expensive and I already have a perfectly good desktop.
There was one pokemon game on the DS that I tried playing a while ago, where the professor asks of you're familiar with pokemon already. And then proceeds to give you the whole spiel regardless.

Also, you don't need to immediately take over the electricity of the whole damn country. Just start with one battery park somewhere, that already helps somewhat, and build out from there.
I mean it sure does help if the OS you're running this software on isn't also a bloated mess.
But yeah unfortunately there's so much needlessly slow software out there, that it probably doesn't make that much of a difference anymore.

Personally, I stream my own media from an old PC at home using navidrome.
I also use tidal for music that I have not get bought. Not sure what that person is on about.
Also there was an article written by a seemingly reputable outlet, so yeah I'll choose to believe them. And there's also the fact that the CEO denied nothing. You would think he would clarify the party's stance once the backlash started coming, if everyone were wrong.
Dual booting is an option, but without two separate drives (or sometimes even with windows on a separate disk), windows update will just nuke your EFI partition and do its own thing.
It's possible, but I probably wouldn't recommend to a beginner, as bootloader issues are usually not fun to fix (had to do it a lot when I was dual-booting back in the day)
