So the same bullying that always happens is now visible and that's the core problem people see. The glasses, not the bullies wearing them or the bullying recorded. Watch teachers and schools fight the recording, that make evidence fall right into their laps, so they can go back to ignoring bullying in their schools and then act shocked when serious fights, or worse happen.

Yes, but also, it is sad you can automatically safely assume a news site that we only want to display our news will be handling a fuck-ton of our personal information. If it just showed the news and non-targeted ads, it wouldn't need a retrofit. GDPR wouldn't apply.
Well, if in the foundation you include the moderators/admins or whatever they call them on wikipedia, then I agree. But just like on reddit, the mods of wikipedia are also part of the issue (not all but most).
Well, it is what it says on the label. Sure, you may have enough knowledge to understand it is impossible, but some people being able to spot a scam doesn't make it less of a scam. And it doesn't mean the people who don't know that much about how youtube works and get scammed should be unable to sue.
I already wrote no one is demanding they remove all ads. But they can't describe premium as "removes all ads".
No one reasonable will demand I sell them the statue of liberty. I can't do that. But I am still not allowed to advertise that I have Statue of Liberty for sale. The issue isn't youtube not removing these ads. The issue is they claimed they would for premium.
I don't think anyone want youtube to remove the ads. They just want Youtube to advertise honestly. If it can't remove all ads, don't advertise completely ad-free videos.

Well yes. But gotta say, my last three phones lasted me 13 years and counting without requiring any repair. Unless you drop your phone regularly or sometging like that, I am not sure how important repairability really is.

- I don't know of any way to filter non DRM games on steam. If I have to research them one by one, that's a big friction to buying the game.

I personally don't get the fixation on physical media. Like sure, you may put it on the shelf, which can be nice. But realistically digital is the way to go for most people. I just want what GOG is doing, where you gat a real installer that just works without internet connection, without steam/gog installed, same today as in 20 years, even if GOG goes under.
