From my personal research, I found that their messaging tool of choice is not only linked to privacy and security but also some features like status, stories, and the app design. Primarily the popularity and slop.
Actually, deletion of whatsapp and instagram drastically decreased my friend circle. Now i have more time for myself. I don't think they have a reason to communicate with me. Anyway, am not installing whatsapp anymore.
