I'm pretty sure that most of the time, you can't see them with the naked eye.

I don't recommend dabbing, tobacco use is harmful and addictive.

I think The Fifth Element did it better.

I'm just not so sure that windows has that much of a future. I believe Microsoft will move to thin clients with everything on servers and a subscription model.

Of course a lot of people will be fine with that and will just give up on their PCs.

Aren't they going to have to learn Linux anyway?

Depending on what they're supposed to use them for, they can most likely use refurbished hardware without issues. That's unless they have to use them to do some really heavy lifting, but that's unlikely.

Back when I started Linux, poking at the system was fun and exciting (also you had to poke at the system anyway if you wanted to run anything). Now, I just want it out of the way and convenient.

I understand that newcomers might feel that they want to touch everything because it's all new and shiny, but I think the OS ought to be a creature of the shadows.

But what if there's some unusual activity?

It comes from way before French. Some tribe, Celts, or whatever, call them Gauls, although it doesn't really mean anything other that "people who live in that area according to the Romans", counted in twenties. And that's one of the things they've left us. For better or for worse.

The house certainly isn't 5 minutes from the beach, the beach might be 5 minutes from the house though.
