Right, know of at least one new grad that was looking for a job for a bit and after some months got hired for some company leveraging LLMs and was mentioning how they were on the companies "top AI users!", which managers liked. The only thing I could think of was how they would be seen as a scapegoat once the costs started to increase and they could find themselves with the people already looking for a job with more experience due to "AI" lay offs.

Pretty sure they are starting with older people and you would need to be a Mexican citizen to begin with (?).
It would be somewhat ironic if actual side walks were implemented to support these things on those affluent car dependent neighborhoods and people discovered cars should not be the focus when designing roads.
People also seriously over estimate the effort required to install an android auto/car play stereo and backup camera. One adapter later and green wire connects to green, red to red, etc. most of the work goes to watching videos on how to do it to get a clearer picture. Not to mention that even for something on the fancier side you pay perhaps one car payment and you are done vs signing up for another 5 years of monthly misery.
They seemed reasonable for people that like fishing and the like (ignoring the huge privacy issues).
