Wow that's pretty fucked.

All these scumbag companies are making it easier and easier for me to avoid their products.

After going through the linked threads. Discussing graphene OS or any other ROM on r/privacy will get you banned. WTF‽

Because the person who makes it gets touchy on some things and started drama with someone or doxxed them or whatever type deal. It’s not like you can’t talk about it you just can’t use the word because he was going through and being weird about conversations about it. It’s nothing against him or them it’s just one of those developers being a unique type of person - which makes sense in the hyper privacy space.

He's certainly "unique".

I feel like he only gets away with it because people find the Dev of a privacy OS being incredibly paranoid somewhat reassuring...

I'm not sure there's a direct connection to Sony here (I use a Sony phone and am thus interested in this).

The initial post of the linked Forum thread does not make any connection. The accompanying reddit thread makes the claim that "PlayStation/Sony recently introduced a company called Yoti for age verification" but Sony is not mentioned on Yoti's wikipedia.

What I am reading in the screenshots is pretty fucked up though.

Even the screenshots have the odor of bullshit. This particular community loves to play the paranoid victim, which is unfortunate.

csrrying 2 phones is the way to go imho. One for these stupid apps and the other for your personal data. So its like the work / personal phone setup but instead we have private / non -private phone.
