Covid really did a number on our collective intellect, didn’t it?

Harvard is really intent on it's own self-destruction for like the past 20 years now.

Completely captured by techno facist bozos, and well that's most of the student body there now too, so.

Feels like I got out before the ship went down when I graduated in 2005, but damn those icebergs were obvious back then.

FYI this article is about the business school, not Harvard College.

Can I pay for it with AI clones of some Monopoly money?

Jesus Christ. I guess some generation has to be the sacrificial lambs, and at this rate, this may be the last generation, so whatever. Blech. 🤢

Train a local LLM on it and undercut them at $599.

The professors who agreed to this should be investigated and shunned.

I guarantee they weren't given a choice. Or possibly were never even told.

[–] andrewrgross@slrpnk.net 4 points 6 hours ago

I don't think you can guarantee that.

I'm selling my toenail clippings for $1000 each.

Doesn't mean anyone is buying them.

[–] MangoCats@feddit.it 1 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

You've just got to get them where they're easily purchased by people that want them... It's not about the desirability of your toenail clippings, it's more about marketing / market development.

Send a an AI to scrape the material.

I've just realized what this family of technologies is - it's an attack at capitalism.

That word is hated here, but it's generally a good thing, with one condition.

When things marketed are something possible to supply an instruction for and to teach the customers basics of telling good stuff from bad stuff, sort of good lightbulbs versus bad lightbulbs, good radio receiver versus bad one, not very deep knowledge, but high school understanding of electricity, mechanics, chemistry, stuff like that.

So most of all it's a family of technologies good for generating "something" that looks plausible for a person about things they themselves don't do. Meaning - deceiving laymen.

So, for the commie types, it's partially good news - it's their part of history finally, and partially bad news - cause the flood wall they were trying to break because they thought it spoiled the view is being finally broken from the other side by a stream of sewage.

Just a random passing thought.
