Fantastic way to relive your own beating

If you see people wearing meta glasses, make fun of them. It should be the latest most uncool thing ever. DO NOT fuck them.

Mark Zuckerberg is a cunt

This is great! It's been frankly hard work avoiding using Meta, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Threads and all of Zuckerberg's other merciless surveillance and manipulation systems, and now I don't have to worry about avoiding it any more because I don't need to give deliberate consent at all, I only need to be within range of someone who has given unwitting consent on my behalf. And inside my own home when I'm my most unguarded and sincere, believing I'm only sharing my thoughts with the people present. What a win!

Fans of AI glasses having dinner parties can now splice and edit their videos to show their pizza Matrix-style.

Living in the moment is lost for future generations. I am so glad I'm old enough to have been able to be drunk and do so many stupid funny things without people recording it and watch it out of context.

Hell I‘m glad I could post shit on the internet as a dumb teen and no one is able track it back to me. Or at least very likely not. Those forums no longer even exist and never asked me for a phone number or verification anyway. No such luxury for future generations.

Wasn‘t the Black Mirror episode about this technology exactly about a dinner party too? Tech bros don‘t have a single original thought yet they think they can automate creativity.

My favorite episode. They had memories like sieves because they could look up everything and every single interaction.

Facebook really wants a legal monopoly on the concept of pervert glasses, don't they?

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 11 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Who does Meta think wants any of this crap?

[–] a1studmuffin@aussie.zone 7 points 6 days ago

Reminds me of Sam Altman saying he uses AI to make a podcast about his kids sports game so they can listen to it on the way to school. As if talking to your children wasn't an option.

All these tech bros creating solutions in search of a problem.

Probably the people buying them.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago

Are you really asking that?

[–] sbbq@lemmy.zip 11 points 1 week ago

Sounds like a great way to make sure no one comes.

[–] Chulk@lemmy.ml 11 points 1 week ago

One highlight at the dinner party of me grabbing the glasses and snapping them in half

I would say it's like the Arkangel episode.

"Record more of your personal life for us to harvest."

Those patent ideas sound like trivial obvious thought. Why were they approved?
