Radar is radio, just like most satellites. It doesn't do well through water. And that would require emissions, which submarines like to avoid.

The realer play is submarines. You don't get any satellite signal at all underwater. Before this it was only INS or dead reckoning.

Why do you think they expect it to be permanent? We survey all kinds of stuff like this all the time.

They spend a lot of money on lawyers and congressmen to make sure courts don't rule that way.

The name of something is not an inherent property of that thing. All names are assigned.

It's entirely possible. People rarely think bad things will happen to them.

Yeah good luck migrating that. Maybe if you've still got the torrents in your client, you could just delete and redownload some.

I'm pretty sure I still have an index card somewhere with an XP key on it. I very nearly had it memorized.

How much data do you have, and are the drives identical? Usually I do in-place conversions by taking some drives offline, creating a degraded raid on them, migrating the data, then wiping the remaining drives and bringing them online in the new raid.

Works for zfs pools too, but you can't create a pool with missing drives, you have to create a temporary block device then mark it offline, then replace it with the real drive once it's free.

No, the presumption is innocence.

Not when it doesn't have power.
