It's fucking embarrassing how gullible and fueled by hate the majority of our species is.

If it's not women, it's immigrants, race, gender or disability- and you all fucking lap it up like dogs on special diets, incapable of understanding you're being fed this way by your billionaire owners for a reason.

Stop falling for this shit, it's manufactured to divide the people and distract you from who you should be pissed at.

I had that revelation, but people will hate on quiet people minding their own business. Like I need to engage with people just be be perceived as normal

My last bastion of misplaced hope in our species goes to pointing obvious things out to people, in the vain hope they'll understand and stop being stupid.

It's like positive nihilism, just productive misanthropy? Lmao, idk, It's basically just pointless coping mechanisms at this point.

Same. Realized that things you don't think need to be said probably do. I remember all the things I've ignored that other people said that I should acted on

I remember all the things I’ve ignored that other people said that I should acted on

Aye, this haunts me too.

yeah, sucks remembering what they say now that im more mature i have to act on it.

I don't think that's entirely true. All of my problems weren't because i'm ugly. It's because no one really believed in and encouraged me when I needed it most. I got trapped in a cycle of self-loathing while still being at least somewhat attractive imo.

[–] flandish@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

have you tried not being ugly, just to compare and contrast? also 💚

[–] Donkter@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I feel like out of every privilege we actually have a/b testing people do frequently. When you gain or lose 100+ pounds you can definitely go from being ugly to being pretty or vice versa. And anyone honest with themselves recognizes that when you're pretty a lot more doors are open to you.

absolutely agree. it’s sad. but true.

In your opinion?

[–] fdnomad@programming.dev 12 points 1 week ago

You have more in common with pretty e-girls than billionaires, no need for division

Jesus Christ, Lemmy’s misogyny problem is just getting more and more overt. It might be time for me to block LW altogether

Call it out when you see it or create an echochamber.

The majority of Lemmites are 30+ year old male tech enthusiasts kicked off Reddit.

I'd be more surprised if they weren't massive bigots.

God I saw someone that was preaching about how people need to put in the work and not tru to get things the easy way. His occupation was in Crypto.

[–] Ydna@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

He's up all night checking the hot market numbers!111

Good life advice: don't be a piece of shit.

That goes for how you treat others AND how you treat yourself (physically and otherwise).

That bowl cut is a self-hate crime.

I'm sick and tired of these incel memes.
