Lots of luddites in this thread. There's no putting this genie back in the bottle. We are at the dawn of a Cambrian explosion of intelligence. Frontier level models are finding novel solutions to decades-long unsolved maths problems. The only limits are compute power and even more simply, energy. See you guys in the singularity
I rank LLMs as game changing as Google Search when it first came out. It's a tool, nothing more.
It does seem like it's positioned to replace search engines
It is better at producing relevant information, but it may never be great, or even as good, at producing reliable information.
