I give you the Fiat Multipla.

I rented one in Italy for a vacation. Loved it. Seats 6 but still can be parked in European cities, great fuel economy, and no blind spots. Two rows of 3 bucket seats.

Yeah. Everyone I know who’s owned one loves them. But they’re not pretty.

But why would they do that? It's stupid looking in a bizarre way

Looks like they paid a designer who got halfway through designing the car (the bottom half) and then fired them in favor of some project manager's nephew who's "good with computers."

It won the Top Gear Car of the Year 2000. It was also voted Top Gear Magazine's Family Car of the Year for four years in a row, from 2001 to 2004. It seats six in two rows. They had one variant that ran on propane. 12 year production run in Europe. Another 5 years in China. 343,000 sold. It was extremely space and fuel efficient, because of the design for aero.

you want stupid and bizarre looking...

That just looks like a pickup truck.

It is the perfect car for old retirees because it’s a convertible and easy to get into and out of you know.

I think that was precisely their target market with this and I'm sure Florida and Arizona are full of them. They really are hideous though, much more in person.
