I already got cut. Lost my 10-year IT job to AI last year. Now I'm working in a factory, packaging waffles 8 hr/day. The irony of me doing drudgery that could be fairly easily done by a machine, while a machine is doing something that requires agency, decisions and creativity, is not lost on me.

I want to get off mr. Bones Wild Ride. Forever.

If it makes you feel better that AI is almost certainly doing a horrible job that will burden your former employer with unfixable tech debt in just a few years.
