Back when Grindr was owned by a Chinese company there was concerns that data from the platform could be used to blackmail western politicians and civil servants.
I can't remember the details but my point is - just because you don't live in China it doesn't mean you're risk free.
I'm neither a politician nor a civil servant, and if I were, as a leftist, I'd be more threatened by Trump having my data than Xi Jinping.
Do I just keep repeating this or...?
Edit: yeah, as yourself point out: the threat China poses is giving your data to your government. lol
